Ruimsig home invasion leaves one injured

The victim is currently in hospital in a stable but critical condition. 

A home invasion in Ruimsig this morning, 9 May, has left one person in a critical condition.

According to emergency services an unknown number of gunmen entered the house. ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring said the resident was lying in a vehicle outside her home.

“She was shot in the chest and leg. When we arrived we took over treatment and provided advanced life support,” he explained. 

The victim is currently in hospital in a stable but critical condition.

Honeydew Police communications officer, Captain Balan Muthan said the case is currently under investigation.
