Roodepoort Police Station closed for decontamination

Normal service has resumed at the Roodepoort police station. Following the station’s Covid-19 related incident, the building has been fully decontaminated and all services are operating as usual.

As anxiety over the creeping third way intensifies, police show that they are not immune from its effects.
The Roodepoort Police Station has been temporarily closed for decontamination after one of its members tested positive for Covid-19. All communities serviced by Roodepoort Police Station are advised to take note as a date for reopening has not yet been communicated.
Please note, the Community Service Centre will be operating at the Detective Boardroom at the back of the police station, and the telephone lines at Roodepoort Police Station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed when the station will be operational again,” stated Roodepoort Police spokesperson, Captain Juanita Yorke.

Police management have extended their apologies for any inconvenience that may arise from this incident, and will update the community on the reopening as soon as it is confirmed.
