KFC sewage leak leaves a pothole
The sewage is no longer spilling out but a large pothole had formed, which is partitioned with cones.
The sewage leak on the corner of Almond Rock Avenue and Fredenharry Road in Strubens Valley has seemingly been fixed; however a part of the road is still sectioned off by cones.
Situated right behind the KFC, the sewage is no longer spilling out but the damage to the road is evident in the large pothole that had formed. However, motorists are unable to use that side of the road due to the cones in the street.
Erick Tshikhudo from Johannesburg Road Agency said they would follow up with Joburg Water. “We will follow up with them to give the work orders so that we can start with the repairs.”
Efforts to get in contact with Joburg Water were unsuccessful. They have not responded to the Northsider’s emails or phone calls, and as soon as a response is received, an update will be published.
