Residents in the Roodepoort and Muldersdrift areas are urged to be on the lookout for a silver Mercedes-Benz A class that is being linked to housebreakings in the Roodepoort and Krugersdorp areas.
Those using the Mercedes-Benz reportedly attempted to break into at least nine houses since 7 June. Community members are encouraged to be vigilant, especially at night, and report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or their local CPF groups.
Sector 2 CPF chairperson, Paul Catlett urged residents not to overlook information shared on community groups regarding criminal activity, because if they do, it could prevent the criminals from being caught quickly. “Use the information to protect yourself. In this case, circulating information about this vehicle at large is incredibly important because the police are not everywhere. We as the CPF implore the public to keep an eye on what’s happening on social media, and in the media at large. If you see these vehicles in and around the area, notify the police as soon as possible.”
