Saturday, 5 June saw a lucky Wilgeheuwel resident being surprised with a brand-new car after she was named one of the 50 winners in the SPAR Win a Car competition.
SPAR Strubens Valley handed over the keys to a brand-new Hyundai Grand i10 to Catherine Edgar who bought participating Win a Car products and swiped her SPAR Rewards card for automatic entries into the competition.
When the Northsider asked Catherine how she felt after being chosen as the lucky winner of the grand prize, she did not hesitate to express her excitement.
“It is absolutely amazing to have won such a wonderful prize. I could not believe it when I got a call from Limelight, telling me that my name had been drawn and I had won a car. I’m close to pension age and I don’t have to worry about repayments. I have always shopped at Spar and I am happy with their service, quality of food, pricing, friendly staff and in-store cleanliness,” said Catherine.
The competition started on Tuesday, 20 April 2021 and ended on Sunday, 6 June 2021 with the 50 lucky winners – Catherine being one of them – named in the SPAR Win a Car competition.
