New executive committee elected for Muldersdrift CPF

The executive members of the new CPF in Muldersdrift are ready and eager to get to work alongside the community. The new members were announced on Monday 7 June:

• Chairperson – Charles Mbewe

• Deputy chairperson – Paul Catlett

• Secretary – Charles Pilusa

• Deputy secretary – Adria Venter

• Treasurer – Marrian Britz

• Public relations officer (PRO) – Gloria Dhlamini

• Victim Empowerment coordinator – Yolanda Zafir

Newly appointed chairperson, Charles Mbewe said he is committed to working hard alongside his colleagues in fighting crime. “We need to ensure that Muldersdrift becomes a crime-free area. We have a dedicated team that will provide the necessary assistance to the whole Muldersdrift community. Farm attacks, spiking, housebreaking, and GBV should be a thing of the past. We humbly request the community to be vigilant and give police the correct information. We are here to give police and community the support needed. Crime has no colour or gender, and it affects all of us. Men and women elected are equal to the task, and as the chairperson of Gijima Tsotsi in Muldersdrift, I am physically fit for the task,” Charles said.

Last month, elections were held for members that would represent Sectors 1, 2 and 3 as the elected committee. The executive committee was elected from those elected from the sectors.
