Pedestrian killed on the N14

The driver was travelling on a road with no street lights when a pedestrian ran into the road.

A pedestrian was killed on impact when he was hit by a light motor vehicle in Muldersdrift on Saturday, June 19.

Abby Janse van Rensburg, spokesperson for Emergency Control South Africa said the driver was travelling along the highway where there are no street lights. “The pedestrian ran out in front of the car and unfortunately died on impact.” She said the driver of the car was shaken up but escaped injury.

Emergency Control provided assistance on the scene and the police were called to carry out the necessary investigations.
