TKSWR learners excel in pageant
The former Little Miss South Africa, who had made a guest appearance in the Binnelanders TV series, revealed to the Northsider that she enjoyed every moment with the actors as they treated her like a star.
Grade 5 learner, Mariela Romanelli from The King’s School West Rand (TKSWR) has done it once again by adding another title to her name at the recent Mr & Miss Royal Runway 2021.
Mariela won the tightly contested Girls 10–12 category, followed by 1st Princess Chane Venter and 2nd Princess Katia Derckson.

At the South African Dance Teachers Association (SADTA) Online Dance Challenge held last year, she placed first in Level 2 Freestyle, and second in Level 2 Slow Dance.
Recapping her titles, Mariela has won Miss Province SA Junior Overall; Elite SA; Miss Million Dollar 2018 and Miss Randfontein 2019, to mention a few.
Mariela’s younger brother, Cosmo Romanelli, a Grade R learner at TKSWR was crowned second Prince and Best Dressed 2021 in the Mr Royal Runway competition.
