Food and blanket drive in honour of Harvey

In honour of Harvey’s sixth birthday on May 13, Harveys Beacon of Light Foundation will be organising a blanket drive in support of Paws Rehoming that does phenomenal work in supporting families and furry souls in six different townships on the East Rand.

According to Harvey’s ‘pawrents’, Dimitri and Roxy Athanasopoulos, Paws Rehoming is in urgent need of help and support.

“We are asking you as the community and Harvey’s heroes, to rally together with us in support of Paws Rehoming as they do phenomenal work to support dogs.

“Food and blankets save and bless lives, so we ask you to please support our drive. If you would like to donate a blanket or food, we’ve organised different drop-off points across Johannesburg, Pretoria and Centurion,” said Roxy.

“We will be making a bulk purchase at the beginning of July via Puppify – Online Pet Store & Mobile Grooming, who has generously offered to help us.

“Thank you to our wonderful community for your constant love and support. This is all possible because of our boy, Harvey, and the love you had for him, and all the animals in our country,” said Roxy.

The Foundation is a non-profit organisation in honour of the French bulldog Harvey who was found dead after he went missing in the Northcliff area in July 2020.

Since the devastating turn of events his ‘pawrents’, Dimitri and Roxy Athanasopoulos started the Foundation in honour of Harvey, with the mission to make sure that furry family members are safe.
