Vehicles crash in busy intersection
The driver of the Audi tried to swerve but it was too late.
A collision involving two vehicles occurred in Witpoortjie on Monday morning, July 12. The driver of the white Audi, Khosi Letsoara, recounted how he was driving on Corlett Avenue and approaching the traffic light at the Albertina Sisulu intersection just as it turned amber. Before he knew it, his car was hit on its back door by a minibus taxi and landed on the pavement.
“I was driving on Corlett Avenue towards Ontdekkers Road and the traffic light turned orange, I think. I was already in the intersection when the other traffic light turned green. The taxi was already moving and he bumped into the back door as I tried to swerve out of the way,” he explained.
Letsoara did not have any visible serious injuries. “I think I might have some injuries on my leg and I hit my forehead. As long as I am alive.”
