Region C sport and recreation hosts a successful wellness programme

Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being. Maintaining an optimal level of wellness is absolutely crucial to living a higher-quality life.

On Friday, October 22 the City of Joburg Sport and Recreation Region C hosted a wellness programme at Ruimsig Stadium as part of their four-months programme that will also be hosted on November 19 and January next year.

According to the organisers Refilwe Lotlhare and George Mugari the aim of the awareness programme is to spread the message about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

“Our goal is to provide knowledge and information to City of Joburg Sport and Recreation Region C workers about the importance of living a healthy, holistic lifestyle.

“We are basically doing a four-months programme that touches on the eight dimensions of wellness. Yesterday we went through the physical and financial dimensions.

“We want to spread information about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle,” said Refilwe.

A team from Assupol was invited to speak about the financial dimension, and fitness trainer Gladness Moila who is the director of Gladness Fitness and Wellness spoke about the importance of fitness.

Bakang Malefetse, the Director of Royal Dew which is currently trading in water purification and still water, spoke about the importance of drinking water.
