Some real Murphy’s laws to make you smile

It is a fact that Murphy's law exists, but, it is not always a bad thing. Here are some that will make you smile.

Ever had one of those days when nothing went according to plan no matter how hard you tried?

I am sure we have all been at a stage in our lives where we just wanted to take a step back and ask for a break from life, as everything just goes wrong. It is not uncommon to hear someone say, ‘Oh, that is Murphy’s Law!’ when disaster strikes. It is true that, in most cases, it will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, wondering if it really had to happen exactly the way it did.

I happened to come across a post on the Daily Pun Facebook page, which made me realise that not all of these laws are always bad, and I would like to share a few of Murphy’s real laws with you, hoping that it would make you smile too:

• Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don’t have film.

• He who laughs last, thinks slowest.

• A day without sunshine is like, well, night.

• Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

• I feel like I’m diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

• Honk if you love peace and quiet.

• Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular?

• Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

• It is hard to understand how a cemetery can raise its burial costs and blame it on the higher cost of living.

• The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there’s a 90% probability you’ll get it wrong.

• Flashlight: A case for holding dead batteries.

• The shin bone is a device for finding furniture.

• I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

Until next week, stay safe and look out for each other …
