According to a statement released by Rand Water earlier this morning (November 16) the Rand Water Meredale reservoir is currently at a critical level due to high consumption.
It supplies the following Johannesburg Water reservoirs and towers:
• Reservoirs and towers in the Roodepoort area
• Northcliff
• Reservoirs and towers in the Soweto area
• Crosby
• Crown Gardens
• Hursthill
Yeoville reservoir has also been impacted by reduced supply as well as high customer consumption.
Johannesburg Water urgently requests customers to reduce consumption in order to prevent more systems becoming depleted. Reduced consumption will assist in the recovery period after the outage.
