Thank you to the members of Roodepoort Police Station

Public perceptions aside, many often forget that the men and women behind the badge are human beings just like the rest of us.

To the men and women of the Roodepoort Police Station, we say thank you for your continued efforts.

Public perceptions aside, many often forget that the men and women behind the badge are human beings just like the rest of us. They have fears, insecurities and faults, yet they are the ones who took up the challenge of donning the badge and uniform with a utopian dream of keeping their country safe. The station is made up of various units, many interwoven, yet they all exist primarily to serve the public.

Thanks to Communications Officer Captain Juanita Yorke for all her hard work throughout 2021. Thank you to the sector managers who served for the bulk of 2021 – Warrant Officer Johan Loots, Warrant Officer Donald Neihaus, Constable Lerato Mailula and Sergeant Thabang Sadike. Thank you to Sergeant Shumikazi Mbuli from Social Crime Prevention and thank you to Captain Sonja Prinsloo from Visible Policing for all their hard work for the people of Roodepoort. May you all have a great 2022.

Finally, thank you to Colonel Lukas Nkosi, who held the acting station commander position for much of 2021, and to new station commander Brigadier Irene Sekwakwa, all the best to you and your members for 2022.
