We wish to say thank you to the members of Florida Police Station for their work in 2021.
As with many police stations, public fury is always directed at the men and women in uniform. Sometimes it may seem justified, but one or two bad apples should not be enough to spoil an entire cart.
To call him a saviour may be an exaggeration, but the appointment of Colonel Amos Lefa Tsotetsi has seen a marked improvement in public perception and community involvement. The Colonel’s ‘partnership in policing’ strategy has bred confidence in all associated with Florida Police Station – from the volunteers who dedicate their time to crime-fighting, and senior police officials, to those at provincial and national level.
Thank you to Colonel Tsotetsi and all his members – from the Community Service Centre to the detectives to the admin staff, for your work in 2021. May you all have a safe and prosperous 2022.
