A new year brings new hope

As we all fix our eyes on the horizon let us not forget to start the new year guided by the spirit of love, hope for success and happiness.

Thabisile Mgwali, Northside journalist writes:

On Sunday, January 2 South Africans awoke to the news that Parliament was on fire. I must say this reminded everybody that the new year always begins with a bang.

As we all fix our eyes on the horizon let us not forget to start the new year guided by the spirit of love, hope for success and happiness.

As much as we love celebrating the holidays, we’ve already said farewell to 2021 and greeted 2022.

I want to remind everyone, especially those who come from other provinces like myself, that when they prepare their New Year’s resolutions and start adding photos to their 2022 yearbook, take some time to write New Year’s wishes to your friends and family.

Send a New Year’s note or card and personalise it with some sentimental New Year’s messages and nostalgic memories.

I have realised that the main factor that contributes to being tired and longing for a holiday at the end of the year is being away from your loved ones.

With such loving people in our community, I pray for their wellness and joy, today and forever, wishing you a very happy and blessed new year charged with new hope and infused with new opportunities.
