Panorama runners host AGM at their new home

“We are so excited and humble about this new journey and being part of such an established country club."

Saturday, February 19 saw Panorama Running Club host their annual general meeting (AGM) at their new home, Ruimsig Country Club (RCC).

Club chairman Andrew Morrison-Young said it was good to meet new members and see old faces especially while enjoying their new home.

“A huge thank you to all who attended the AGM this afternoon, we have so much planned and are extremely excited to share some of the new runs, routes and events happening in the future,” said Andrew.

A word of thanks was extended to the 2021 committee before the 2022 committee was welcomed.

“We have lost members and gained a couple of new faces; I feel it is time for us to re-build Panorama,” added Andrew.

The club’s 2022 membership fees are R550 including the Athletics South Africa (ASA) licence of R120.

Panorama Running Club has partnered with TRAIN-ONE which is a supportive and helpful platform to assist runners with their training.

The club has also wasted no time in kicking off the year as January 28 was the first official club run from the new home.

“We are so excited and humble about this new journey and being part of such an established country club.

“A huge thank you to the RCC Management for opening its doors to Panorama, the club is super excited about our new home and the journey we will travel with you.

“There are huge opportunities to grow the club through events and club runs.

“This is our new home, let’s enjoy it and make the most of every opportunity we have to invite friends to join us on our runs. Please remember to abide by the country club’s rules and regulations,” said Andrew.

Panorama Running Club committee members for 2022 are Gangatha Mkele (Club Captain/ Vice-Chair), Geraldine Anderson (Marketing/ Social Media), Dimakatso Qocha (Secretary), Nokuthula Mokgele (Treasurer) and Andrew Morrison-Young (Club Chairman).

“RCC would like to welcome Panorama Running Club to the RCC family. We are their new home base from where all their club runs will be taking place.

“We look forward to a great partnership and seeing them enjoy our wonderful views and facilities after their runs,” said Marketing, PR and Events Manager Ziska Haak.
