Doing the ground work for a successful business
The entrepreneurs workshop shares tools to make customers fall in love with a business.
Executive Director of Hirsch’s, Margaret Hirsch and business coach, Marlene Powell resumed the entrepreneurs workshop on February 4. Held via Zoom, topics under discussion ranged from navigating the future of business with the metaverse, to using marketing tools.
Margaret and Marlene are determined to help entrepreneurs entering the business industry to take away gems and wisdom from their workshops. “We get to invite top speakers from a variety of sectors in the business community, and the feedback from attendees has been encouraging.”
Neale Petersen, who was a speaker at the workshop said the future of business was very likely to be navigated in the metaverse. “The exciting thing is that it gives you the feeling that you are in a meeting scenario, in person. It has a new canvas for the human imagination. There are practical ways to move in this futurist, web-based meeting space,” the founder of Real Estate Investor said.
Dimakatso Moloantoa, founder of Amari Communications and marketing manager of Wurth SA gave an insightful presentation on the four stages of getting people to fall in love with your business, which she said was similar to going on a date. “There is the talking phase (brand identity), the honeymoon phase (brand meaning), the decision phase (brand response) and the commitment phase (brand resonance). It’s easy to get what you are looking for if you know what your target market is looking for,” she said. “If you get your positioning and branding right, you won’t have to negotiate on price.”
