Whether they require balls, bats, skittles or tracks, sporting activities offer preschool children a host of learning opportunities.
In recognition of the importance of sports in a child’s life, Saturday, February 12 saw the tiny tots of The King’s School West Rand (TKSWR) celebrate their preschool’s Athletics Day at the school’s sport fields.

With the weather permitting, parents looked forward to cheering on their little ones to the finishing line while they joined in for their own special race.
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause when the dads got ready for their run, which ended in very exhausted parents who unlike their little ones had limited energy.

For the preschoolers, running and playing actively are as natural as breathing as they displayed their endless energy which was channelled to provide fun and enjoyment, as well as the opportunity to participate in a wide range of physical activities.
