Local crèche learn about important topics

Officer Albert Carstens even showed off his special agent, Greenie.

EC Security recently paid a visit to Wilro Kidz Nursery School and Crèche to share their knowledge on a variety of important topics.

On Thursday, March 10 the little ones were taught about bad guys, security guards, medics, stranger danger, first aid and snakes in a super fun and interactive manner. Activities included mock-arresting a teacher, and having a try running in an extremely heavy bullet-proof vest.

“The highlight of course was our resident reptile and snake expert, officer Albert Carstens, showing off our special-agent, Greenie – a harmless little green snake,” EC Security Armed Reaction HOD, Rudi Holtzhausen said.

According to school principal Nicole West, EC Security’s visit formed part of their theme of the week, which was ‘People who help us’.

“EC Security is absolutely amazing; on very short notice they managed to come and chat to our kiddies about extremely important things, and demonstrated everything as well. It was great fun,” she said.

“You are never too young to learn. The kiddies listened, laughed and had so much fun which makes our jobs a whole lot more rewarding. Thank you EC for being part of our little school and for sharing all your knowledge with our future leaders.”

Rudi said their team had oodles of fun teaching the blossoming buds. EC Security loves spreading the message of community involvement and safety far and wide.

“Any school, community group or related organisation can get in touch and we will make a plan to come for a visit. Thanks so much for the opportunity Wilro Kidz. We hope you had as much fun as we had!” he concluded.
