Rand Water postpones scheduled shutdowns

All scheduled shutdowns postponed for the F34/F46 pipelines, H47 pipeline and H39 pipeline until further notice.

On Tuesday, March 22 Rand Water announced through a media statement that they had postponed all scheduled shutdowns of the F34/ F46 pipelines, H47 pipeline and H39 pipeline until further notice.

This follows an earlier statement the water utility released on Friday, March 18 about a planned shutdown of its F34 pipeline from Wednesday, March 23 to Thursday, March 24, to tie in the newly installed F46 pipeline to the existing F34 pipeline.

According to Rand Water, the site of the first tie-in is the corner of Jim Fouche and JG Strydom Roads; the second tie-in will be at the corner of Cornelius Street and JG Strydom Road; while the third tie-in will be at the Johannesburg Water Corriemoor Reservoir.
