Roodepark School host outstanding rugby sevens tournament

LSEN schools from across Gauteng rock the passionate crowd

Roodepark School hosted a sevens rugby tournament for LSEN schools that fall under the Golden Lions Rugby Union on March 12.

The heat on the pitch was matched by the intensity in the stands as learners, staff and parents created a raucous rugby atmosphere. From Carletonville to Springs, nine schools made up 14 teams for a tournament focused on giving the players as much fiery game time as possible.

In the Shield section, Pro-Practicum Raptors beat Goudwes School’s second team to fifth place, Roodepark’s two teams played each other for third, while Elandspark Elande beat Randeor School to the Shield title.
