The Ogle Foundation donates female sanitary to rapturous response
Grade 6 and 7 female learners at Jozua Naude Primary go wild for Patty and her volunteers
Learners from Jozua Naudé Primary were given a much-appreciated boost as the Ogle Foundation came to town on April 22.
Patty Ogle and her team of volunteers brought several boxes of female sanitary products for the school’s Grade 6 and 7 learners who accepted the donations with raucous enthusiasm.
To begin the presentation, life couch Langi Molo gave the gathered girls a brief pep talk about personal responsibility and the pitfalls of being a young woman. Thereafter, volunteers handed out the sanitary products to the learners. Creating a frenzied scrum of excitement, volunteers threw the products into the crowd accompanied by delirious screams from the girls.
The Ogle Foundation aims to provide similar donations to teenage females at least once a month, depending on availability of donations. They regularly run soup kitchens and other humanitarian projects around Roodepoort. A bundle of feel-good energy, Patty said, “Ogle Foundation wants to say a big thank you to Grind Foundation who makes this campaign a success; and to all volunteers, we couldn’t do this without their support”.
