Wanted suspect arrested, found in possession of drugs in Florida
On Monday, June 20 officers received information about a man who was wanted for petrol-bombing a JMPD officer's vehicle as per an Ennerdale police case.
Working on information received, the JMPD K9 Unit officers arrested a man for possession of and dealing in drugs on Goldman Street in Florida.
It was also discovered that the arrested suspect was wanted for arson and attempted murder.
On Monday, June 20 officers received information about a man who was wanted for petrol-bombing a JMPD officer’s vehicle as per an Ennerdale police case.
The information led officers to Florida where the suspect resides, and they were posted strategically before spotting him.
He was apprehended immediately, and 82 Mandrax and 10 ecstasy pills worth approximately R3 780 were found in his possession.
“The suspect was charged with possession of and dealing in drugs, and he was detained at Florida Police Station,” said JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
