Suspect nabbed for stealing a motorcycle in Discovery
Florida police spokesperson Colonel Amos Tsotetsi confirmed to the Record that a case theft of a motorcycle had been opened, that the suspect had indeed been detained at the station and already appeared in court.
JMPD operations officers arrested a 36-year-old man on charges of motorcycle theft in Discovery, Roodepoort.
The officers received a complaint on Tuesday, July 12 from a man whose Kawasaki motorcycle had been stolen.
He allegedly identified his stolen motorcycle at a pawn shop in Florida.
The officers proceeded to the pawn shop where the thief had allegedly sold it, and when the officers checked the motorcycle’s status, it came out positive as being stolen.
Details of the suspected thief were provided to the officers, and they found him on Claredon Drive in Discovery. He was arrested immediately and detained at the Florida Police Station.
