Alice’s Garden filled with wonder

Art in the Garden gives many local artists the opportunity to show the community their work.

It was a beautiful and warm day at the Alice Art Gallery where many artists displayed their unique and diverse art skills in the green, blooming garden. This was the third Art in the Garden event of this year.

On Saturday, August 6 the Ruimsig community was invited to walk through Alice’s Garden and admire the work of local artists. The artwork on display varied in size, style and meaning as young and old showcased their creations.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Even while the pieces are as different as day and night, the one does not take away from the beauty of the other. As the saying goes, “Roses are beautiful, but so are sunflowers”.

Walking through an art gallery really does open one’s mind to the fact that all things have significance and have a deeper meaning to each individual who looks at them.
