Rex Clinic Operational Manager urges residents to be safe during festive season

“Resident are reminded that services in local clinics and Community Health Centres (CHC) such as Discoverers Community Health Centre will continue as normal."

During the festive season Rex Clinic Operational Manager Thato Mohlala has urged residents and visitors to the area to be alert and avoid becoming the victims of crime.

Although Mohlala does not celebrate Christmas, he has sent a message wishing that everyone remains safe, vigilant and not to over indulge in alcohol especially when driving.

“Resident are reminded that services in local clinics and Community Health Centres (CHC) such as Discoverers Community Health Centre will continue as normal therefore, they are welcome to come and bring their visiting loved ones to come and get services at our facilities,” said Mohlala.

In the past years the City of Johannesburg informed and reminded all residents that clinics will continue to offer primary health care services during the festive season.

However, there will be certain clinics that do not offer extended hours of service and will be closed on Christmas Day and Day of Goodwill, December 25 and 26 as well as New Year’s Day, January 1, 2023.

According to the City there will be clinics that offer extended hours of service which will be open to ensure that access to health services is not interrupted.
