Miya dances towards her dreams

Miya qualified to represent South Africa at the World Freestyle Championships in the UK in 2022 (she made the semifinal) and has been selected once again, to represent the team in the UK, for 2023.

Crawford International Ruimsig is proud of their Grade 7 learner, Miya van Niekerk, who has been selected to represent South Africa, in Dance, at the World Championships for the second year in a row.

Miya is a Premier Champion Freestyle dancer. Freestyle dance is a combination of contemporary, jazz, disco and acrobatics and one of the biggest dance leagues in South Africa.

Miya qualified to represent South Africa at the World Freestyle Championships in the UK in 2022 (she made the semifinal) and has been selected once again to represent the team in the UK for 2023.

She will be competing in the Premier Champion division (this is the highest status you can achieve in this dance sport) and will be travelling to the United Kingdom to compete from June 23 to 25.
