Lace up for a good cause

Support Ebenezer Psychiatric House's fundraising run or walk.

The Ebenezer Psychiatric Home is inviting the greater community to participate in their first-ever 5km or 8km walk/ run fundraising event.

This fun-filled morning is not only a great opportunity to get some exercise but also to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

The non-profit organisation provides safe stay-in care for adults suffering from bipolar disorder, depression, and schizophrenia and is solely dependent on an insufficient monthly subsidy from the Department of Health.

“We urgently need to refill our grocery cupboard and build an electric fence to keep our residents safe,” says event co-ordinator Kerry Van von Buddenbrock.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 30, at Bidon Bistro at 06:00 and the runs are designed for the not-so-fit and are also child-friendly.
