Morgan’s karateka rake in the medals

Morgan Moss Karate International fighters put on an impressive performance at the 2025 Gauteng Karate Championships.

Morgan Moss Karate International fighters took part in the 2025 Gauteng Karate Championship and Trials during February and quite literally cleaned up, bringing home a total of 41 medals.

Sensei Morgan Moss said he could not be more proud of his students, especially as some of them were victorious against more advanced fighters.

“Our fighters gave excellent performances,” he says, adding that 36 of his karateka qualified for the national championships.

“Not only did our performance at the event help the West Rand Region to top the Gauteng medal table with 27 gold, 19 silver, and 23 bronze medals, but our club alone won more medals than any of the other regions.

“We also took more gold medals as a club than any of the other regions. I am humbled and grateful for this.”

Morgan Moss karateka won an unbelievable 22 gold, 11 silver, and eight bronze medals.

Fighters that stood out during the competition included Brendon Engelbrecht, Dylan Seyffert, Ndumisu Ngubeni, Gutara’she Zabone, Luandro Bornman, and Brogan Taylor.
