Paws and purchases: Church hosts successful dog show and market

The community came together for a fun-filled day of furry friends and market.

On Saturday, March 1, the El Flora Church hosted a fun-filled dog show and market to raise funds for their church community. The event was a huge success, attracting dog owners and enthusiasts from all over.

The dog show was divided into various categories which showcased the unique talents and characteristics of the participating dogs, delighting the crowd with their adorable antics.

According to Nico van Heerden, the organiser of the event, there were 17 participants and prizes were given.

“The rescue dogs all received prizes because of the stories they shared,” he said.

Meanwhile, the market stalls offered a wide range of goods, from handmade crafts and jewellery to delicious baked goods and refreshing drinks. Visitors could browse the stalls, sample local treats, and support local vendors while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate their love for dogs, and raise funds for a great cause.
