Welties hosts Mother’s Day market

The event gave learners a chance to show appreciation to their mothers in a fun and meaningful way.

On Saturday, May 10, a special Mother’s Day market was held at Weltevreden Park Primary School to honour mothers.

Families, friends, learners, and community members came together to celebrate the invaluable role of mothers.

The school grounds featured an array of stalls offering handmade gifts, making it a great last-minute shopping spot for those who couldn’t buy their gifts on time. Children had the opportunity to enjoy face painting and games while music played in the background and keeping the guests entertained.

The market not only supports local entrepreneurs, but it also helped raise funds for school improvements and learner support programmes. As the day came to a end, the mothers left with smiles, gifts, and a sense of appreciation, highlighting the importance of motherhood.
