Glamour meets purpose at Westgate’s Mrs SA Fashion Show

Westgate Shopping Mall dazzled with its Real Women’s Fashion Show, blending style, empowerment and breast cancer awareness in one unforgettable event.

Westgate Shopping Centre recently came alive with glitz and glamour during an event aimed at raising awareness for breast cancer, featuring contestants from the Mrs South Africa pageant.

The Real Women’s Fashion Show was described as a celebration of confidence and beauty that left audiences inspired and energised.

According to the centre’s marketing manager, Thabo Khumalo, the Mrs South Africa brand represents real, relatable, contemporary women who embrace their individuality and empower one another to uplift communities across the country.

“This year’s fashion show showcased the reigning Mrs South Africa, former titleholders, our alumni, and the 2025 Mrs South Africa finalists. It promised to be a stylish event, highlighting the beauty and strength of women,” said Thabo.

He added that Westgate’s goal was to celebrate the arrival of spring by highlighting the centre’s wide range of fashion offerings. The show also aimed to inspire shoppers with new-season style ideas, spotlighting wardrobe updates and trends available from tenants. In addition, it provided a platform to engage the community and position Westgate as a leading fashion destination in the West Rand.

During the show, 12 of this year’s 28 finalists took to the runway, joined by Mrs SA alumni, including Queen Erin-Jan Miller and first princess Tshiamo Githinji. The event, open to all mall patrons, drew a lively crowd, with many young women and girls delighting in the fabulous atmosphere.
