Body of missing 11-year-old Fleurhof boy found

The boy's body was found in a residential complex.

The body of Jayden Lee Meek, an 11-year-old boy who went missing on Tuesday, May 13, was found on the stairs of his residential complex in Fleurhof.

According to Florida CPF chairperson Farhaad Sardiwalla, the boy was found lifeless this morning, May 14. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, but it is alleged that he may have been assaulted.

Meek was last seen at Swazi Place in Fleurhof after being dropped off by his scholar transport in his school uniform.

His family reported him missing to the Florida Police Station on Tuesday night, and a search effort was launched. The CPF assisted in creating a missing person flyer to aid in the search.

The police are currently investigating the matter, and the community will be kept updated as more information becomes available.
