Power outage hits parts of Constantia Kloof

Residents are asked to be patient and await further updates on when power will be restored.

Residents in parts of Constantia Kloof were left without electricity this morning (Wednesday, January 29) following a fault on the Kloofendal Substation.

According to City Power, the outage was reported by the Roodepoort Service Delivery Centre (SDC) at around 10:15. The fault is located between the Wilhelmina Kiosk and the Van Vuuren No. 1 mini substation, which has resulted in a power supply interruption in the area.

City Power has warned that current bad weather conditions may slow down response times. As a result, repairs and the restoration of electricity could take longer than usual while technicians work to locate and fix the fault.

Residents have been assured that more information will be shared once the fault has been identified and repairs are completed. City Power has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the affected customers for their patience.

Residents are encouraged to follow updates on the City Power Outage Updates WhatsApp channel or on social media via @CityPowerJhb.

For individual or isolated outages, customers are advised to log a call on citypower.mobi, contact 011 490 7484, or call the City Power Call Centre on 080 020 2925.
