The stakeholders also spoke about driver behaviour, especially their conduct while waiting for children after school.

On the day, various scholar transport associations were in attendance and learned a lot about road safety.

A speaker from the Johannesburg Department of Transport reminded the attendees that they need to teach children how to be safe pedestrians as young children are not always aware of the danger and should be given an opportunity to learn about road dangers.

The campaign focused on the safety of those who use public transport on a daily basis and a variety of safety awareness activities were completed.
