Residents fixing potholes themselves

Frustrated residents, tired of waiting for JRA to fix the roads, are doing it themselves.

For the past 20 years residents of Van Damn Street in Little Falls have been struggling with potholes in the street.

“The potholes have become so bad that the road was unusable. If we didn’t take the trouble to fix them ourselves, nothing would be done. We have asked JRA time and time again, but JRA just don’t care,” stated Wendy Scully, a resident of the street.

Scully states she would encourage others to fix potholes as well.

Thus far, fixing the potholes in the road has cost them R4 200 and the road is only 60% finished.
