Community rallies behind St Mike's kitchen project

The St Michael's and All Angels church was filled with fun and happiness as the church community hosted a festival to fundraise for the church kitchen.

The St Mike’s parish fête brought together parishioners, families, friends and members of the wider community on July 25 to raise funds for the rebuilding of the St Michael’s and All Angels church kitchen.

According to organiser Mandy-Lee Lambert, the annual event was well supported, with visitors enjoying a variety of food stalls, entertainment, games and activities throughout the day.

Funds raised from this year’s fête will contribute towards rebuilding the church kitchen, with vendors, volunteers, parishioners and visitors supporting the project.

The event featured stalls selling food, treats, crafts and other goods, while games and activities kept children and families entertained. The St Mike’s Youth Fun Zone was among the day’s highlights.

Lambert said the success of the fête was made possible by the dedication of volunteers who helped organise stalls, prepare refreshments, assist visitors and coordinate activities throughout the day.
