O’ Week: A vibrant student experience

IIE MSA recently held an Orientation Week for their incoming students.

First-year students at IIE MSA in Ruimsig were in for a treat during the university’s recent orientation week.

In addition to attending information sessions and meeting their lecturers, they went on campus tours and participated in ice breaker activities for them to get to know each other and prepare for campus life.

According to public relations officer and events coordinator Makupa Madia, the purpose of the week was to facilitate the seamless and successful transition of first-years to campus life.

“The last two days of the seven day O’Week consisted of a wet-and-wild themed trip to Happy Island Water Park in Lanseria and a fun-filled day on campus with more exciting activities such as bubble soccer, memory games, twister and ping pong.”

To conclude an eventful week, students made a memory jar to celebrate their O’Week experience.

“My favourite memory of O’Week was the mechanical bull ride and meeting good people. I’m extremely happy to be studying here,” says Rikus-Louis Pansegrouw, first st year student in BA Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development.
