Florida’s renowned and award-winning Christian author, Lesego Masango, is making waves in the literary world yet again with the release of her latest book, Unrestricted Access.
The long-awaited book has already received excellent reviews from readers and critics, solidifying her reputation as the master of the written word
Lesego, a native of the North West province, started writing at a very young age, but she published her first book God’s Radiant Light in 2020. She received an award for her book Anchored in Love, a 40-day devotional, in 2023 at the sixth African Honouree Awards and was also honoured by the organisation, ThubaPeloMosadi, at their Women of Worth Awards in 2023.
In Unrestricted Access, Lesego focuses on fear, shame, guilt, condemnation, freedom, and the blessings that come with Christ. She presents a faith-based way of breaking free from any boundaries presented by an enemy. She also delves deep into the empowering and transforming principles found in Christ.
When asked about her inspiration for her Christ-based books, Lesego revealed that she drew from the experiences she went through when she was young, in university and adulthood, and how she conquered everything when she found Christ. She also mentioned the power of growing up in a Christ-based home.
“My parents always encouraged us to read something when we were young, and I believe I’m a teacher by birth. I write in a way that teaches and encourages another person from a scripture’s perspective. In this book, I also speak about focus and how we can have our eyes and ears on the Lord because these days it’s very easy to be distracted,” she said.
Lesego mentioned that throughout her journey she has gained courage, confidence, and the ability to be bold. She says writing is about intention, dedication, and keeping in mind the legacy that you want to leave behind.
“I look up to authors like Joyce Meyer because she is a powerful teacher of the word of God. Making it easier for all to surrender their lives and live a Christ-centered life.
“To aspiring writers, it is important to invest and dedicate time to your work. Research is also important. Be curious, and one important factor is to get a public relations person pre- and post-release,” she added.
