WH RA asks you to help shape your community
Looking for a new way to bring a positive impact in your neighbourhood?
The Wilgeheuwel Honeydew Residents Association (WH RA) calls on dedicated individuals in the area to step forward and join the association’s committee. As a vital part of the community, the WH RA is committed to supporting residents, addressing concerns and fostering a stronger, more connected neighbourhood.
To continue this mission, the association needs volunteers who are passionate about serving their community.
“Our committee members are responsible for managing day-to-day activities of the association, making decisions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our community,” says Samuel Johnson, chairperson of the WH RA.
Committee members’ responsibilities include providing vision, keeping residents informed, overseeing budget, event planning, addressing concerns, and resolving issues within the association.
“We plan to leverage social media platforms and WhatsApp to improve communication within our community. This will enable us to share important updates and announcements, encourage resident engagement and feedback, provide a platform for residents to report issues or concerns, and foster a sense of community through online discussions,” Samuel remarks.
Individuals with various skill sets and backgrounds, retirees, professionals, students, stay-at-home parents, and those passionate about community service and development are welcome to join.
Those who are interested in joining the committee can contact the secretary of the association on 076 382 5208.
