Wings of Inspiration put on Christmas décor at Horizon View
Wings of Inspiration creates hand-made and recycled Christmas decorations.
Women and children from different shelters of Wings of Inspiration Care Centres have created handmade Christmas decorations to add to the Christmas tree during the switching on of Christmas lights at Horizon View Shopping Centre.
According to the manager of all the shelters, Kyle Heath, the decorations were made from recycled materials, which is a good way to promote sustainability and also ask for donations during this festive season.
“We have been in partnership with Horizon View for many years, and they’ve helped us with this great initiative of making decorations for them while also putting out messages to the greater community that we need help. Daily we take care of about 420 people.
“We welcome any donations to make this festive season a good one for everyone.”
Marketing manager of the shopping centre Beverley Sefularo says one of their main objectives for the financial year is putting the word out there when it comes to sustainability and recycling.
“This is the reason behind us coming up with such initiatives for Christmas decorations. We are also about building relationships with external stakeholders, and Wings of Inspiration has been a great partner with our shopping centre.
“We always think of them when it comes to the community, and we are looking forward to more partnerships with them.”
