DCF educates domestic workers on crime

Domestic workers and gardeners in Discovery had the opportunity to learn some crime tips.

Discovery Community Forum recently held a successful Domestic Workers and Gardeners Forum at the open veld in Philips Avenue.

The forum consisted of an information and training session for domestic workers and gardeners on how to keep themselves and the property owners they work for safe from crime.

The assembled domestic and garden workers received information relating to crime trends within the area, as well as tips on how to avoid becoming victims of crime.

Speakers included Discovery Community Forum committee member John Gaffney and representatives from two private security companies that are prominent in the area.

After the informative session, domestic workers were treated to delicious snacks and cold drinks.
