FBW sings Christmas Carols

Florida Block Watch held a well-attended Carols by Candlelight event at the Florida Park Shopping Centre on December 21.

Residents from across Florida braved the rainy weather to join in on the joyous occasion.

Christmas carols rang out from the impressive sound system with residents, huddled around lyric sheets, singing their hearts out.

According to Florida Block Watch chairperson John Kirsten, it was heartwarming to see people bringing their families out to participate in a community event of this type.

“We are very privileged in Florida to have a community that is family-orientated and stands together come rain or shine,” he said.

“It was a hugely enjoyable afternoon celebrating the spirit of Christmas and the togetherness of community.”
