Fleurhof — Hope, dignity, and opportunity arrived in the form of 100 brand-new school shoes and socks for Fleurhof Primary School learners on Wednesday, April 16.
The shoes were donated by two local business partners from Apex Car Wash, Joseph Motaung and Tebogo Temo, who wanted to give back to the community they serve.
Last year the team managed to donate 50 shoes with socks, and they are hoping to reach even more learners and schools in the future.

“As a business, we believe in giving back and supporting the community we serve.
“We fundraise the money for ourselves, and we believe we can do more in the future because these are more than shoes; they are an investment in the confidence, self-worth, and future of our learners.
“It allows them to step into their education with dignity and a renewed sense of purpose,” said Joseph and Tebogo.
Principal of the school Millicent Mabaso received the donations on behalf of the school.
“As a school, we belong to the community. This reflects the amazing and generous hearts of Joseph and Tebogo.
“These shoes and socks will go a long way, and we are truly thankful for the continued support they provide to the school. There is much to be learned from their example,” she said.
