Care Foundation spreads warmth during winter

The foundation donated blankets, sandwiches, towels and sanitisers to a local old age home.

The Johannesburg Care Foundation visited the Antoinette Old Age home on Wednesday, July 2, to distribute essential items to provide comfort to the residents.

The foundation donated 50 blankets, sandwiches, towels, and sanitisers to the home.

According to Llewellyn Ryan, the founder and chairperson of the foundation, the inspiration behind this act of kindness lies in the fact that many residents in the home are still heads of households, taking care of their families and deserve warmth during the winter months.

“This is why we are committed to providing them with necessary support,” said Llewellyn.

He added that the donation is part of the foundation’s winter drive, aimed at supporting vulnerable communities during the cold winter months.

The drive is ongoing, with plans to distribute more blankets in areas like Florida and Fleurhof.
