Learners showcase excellent talent

Princess Primary hosted a concert to encourage arts and culture in the school.

Artistry and creativity took centre stage at the Princess Primary Got Talent 2024 concert.

The event, held from October 20 to November 6, left many parents and spectators gracefully wowed by the creativity and talent showcased by the learners.

The stage sparkled with beautiful lights as learners showcased their talents in ballet, poetry, dancing, singing, math and English challenges, drawing, painting, drama and acting.

According to the deputy principal of the school, Daniel Nkau, the concert started a year ago and is now an integral part of the school’s calendar.

“Our school mission and vision emphasise holistic development. We realised we were focusing too much on curriculum work and sports, neglecting cultural development. That’s how Princess Primary School Got Talent was born.

“We encourage mass participation to give every learner a chance to shine on stage,” Daniel explains.

Daniel says this year’s concert was a huge success, and they are anticipating to continue with it and make it their annual event.

“The learners improved a lot in their performances and items. With primary school learners, imperfect is perfect, as they are original with what they are doing. We are the grassroots level where we orientate them on how to be confident on the stage, face the audiences, project their voices, choreography and teamwork,” he concludes.
