Crawford’s little ones celebrates grandparents

Laughter and smiles filled the air as the children honoured their grandparents in a heartwarming way.

Crawford International Ruimsig Pre-Primary hosted their annual Grandparents’ Day on August 15.
The event, according to the principal Ashleigh Bateman, was a joyful and much-loved one.

“We all know it takes a village to raise a child, and on this special day, we had the privilege of celebrating ‘our village’,” Ashleigh said.

From the very first welcome, the day saw brimming smiles, laughter and love from all who attended.

“Our grandparents and special guests joined in on interactive games like Kahoot and Bingo, filling the room with cheers, giggles, and plenty of friendly competition. The children’s faces were filled with joy that was matched only by the sparkle in their grandparents’ eyes as they watched with pride and amazement at all their little ones knew and could do.”

The highlight of the day was when the grandparents had an opportunity to become artists and painted on canvases side by side with the children. Happy conversations filled the room, and it came alive with creativity and colour as each brushstroke told a story of its own.

“It was a heartwarming celebration of connection across generations, a day of memory-making, and a reminder that life’s richest moments are the ones we share,” Ashleigh concluded.
