Charter swimmer dives into global waters

After a stellar season with record-breaking performances, Eliecia is set to make her international debut.

Eliecia Chivandire from Charter College International High School has once again soared to new heights in her swimming career.

Eliecia has been selected to represent Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA) at the prestigious Irish Open Short Course Championships in Dublin, Ireland, in December. This latest achievement follows an impressive string of successes for the gifted athlete. Earlier this year, Eliecia earned a place on the Zimbabwe National Swimming Team, competing at the Africa Aquatics Zone IV Championships.

Her selection came on the back of an outstanding performance at the CGA Junior Short Course Championships, where she won four gold medals in her backstroke events, a silver medal in the 100m, and a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly. These remarkable results not only brought her multiple personal best times but also secured her qualification for the South African National Junior Championships.

As Eliecia prepares for her upcoming international competition, her school, family, and community stand proudly behind her, cheering her on every stroke of the way. Her determination, discipline, and sportsmanship remain an inspiration to those around her, proving that with hard work and passion, excellence truly knows no limits.
