DLN learners share their dream jobs on Career Day
Future professions took centre stage as Foundation Phase learners showcased their aspirations through creative costumes and plenty of youthful enthusiasm.
Young learners at Dios Los Ninos (DLN) Primary School Foundation Phase showed up dressed in their desired future career dreams in a fun-filled Career Day on September 4.
According to DLN principal Leonie Leppich, the day formed part of the school’s careers theme for the week, with learners encouraged to come to school dressed as the professionals they hope to become one day.
The initiative challenged learners to put down their screens and use their imagination and creativity to portray their future careers.
“The school grounds were filled with excitement as learners proudly arrived dressed for their chosen professions. The activity allowed them to express their ambitions while learning more about the different career paths they could pursue in the future,” she said.
“Career Day was more than simply dressing up for the young learners. It was an opportunity to dream, explore their interests and confidently share their aspirations with others,” she added.
The day included the submission and presentation of career-related projects. Learners had to present their work, demonstrating their understanding of their chosen themes while building confidence in speaking in front of others.
Despite the packed programme, the excitement among the learners remained high throughout the day.
The event ended on a positive note, with learners heading home with smiles on their faces after a day filled with creativity, learning and plenty of fun.
